Approximately 60 guests gathered in Ann Schnake's home and garden to enjoy live Latin jazz, a reading by Latina poet Vickie Vertiz, and dine on a fabulous, multi-course organic meal prepared by co-hosts Ann Schnake and Lauren Elder - with major help from numerous friends. Proceeds were divided equally to support Nashira, the women's eco-village in Colombia and a women's cervical cancer treatment center in rural Nicaragua. Produce was generously donated by many local farms.
